I became interested in politics when I realized how much it affects our everyday lives. I believe political reporting dates back to the founding fathers and the purpose of our democracy. Every person deserves to know what their elected officials are doing, so I believe the job of a journalist is to hold them accountable, call them out and make policy and politics understandable to every person.
